The outdoor education of young people is essential for an environmentally sustainable future and Greg is fully qualified, insured, has current First Aid training and is CRB checked to enable him to work with young people outdoors.
Future Tracks Who We Work With Title
Woodland Owners – Many individual householders, smallholders or landowners are looking to manage their woodland in an environmentally sustainable way whilst providing a valuable income stream. Greg is happy to work with you assessing available resources, suggesting ideas, and developing an action plan to generate new income streams and get the most from your woods. He can then provide skills and labour to equip you with the confidence and knowledge to manage your own woodland.
Individuals and Groups – Either as individual 1-2-1 sessions, or in small private groups, Greg is happy to facilitate sessions at his outdoor studio in the woods. He also runs a series of seasonal ½ day and full day workshops open to the public. To be included on the mailing list for these workshops please send us your email and contact details.
“For a number of years our annual visit to St Ives has been central to our GCSE Art programme and we have been delighted to work with Greg. Our pupils have benefited greatly from his workshops as he challenges the groups by introducing new ideas and techniques. His teaching is inspirational and it is underpinned by his great knowledge and his infectious admiration of the St Ives artists. He is able to communicate to every pupil on many different levels and they warm to his open and cheerful personality. On returning to school we immediately see a positive impact on both the work and the grades of our students. I cannot recommend him highly enough and we hope to continue our association with Greg for many years to come.” - John Mason, Exeter School
"Greg has been involved in the Wild Penwith project since 2009.  Cornwall Wildlife Trust are very grateful for the advice he has provided, and our Wild Penwith Volunteer group in particular have really benefitted from his woodland skills training. Greg has a sensitive understanding of the important interactions between the needs of the environment
and the people who live and work in it; and he can effectively communicate his knowledge
to a wide range of people from different backgrounds" -  Dr Jan Dinsdale, Wild Penwith Ecologist, Cornwall Wildlife Trust.
" Engaging Greg Humphries on an initial site visit with consultation was a great move and we realised how much more productive and sustainable our coppice management could be.  Greg created a management plan that was both practical, doable and would yield the output we needed.  It has been very helpful to have Greg start the pr
